This interactive installation, created in Augmented Reality, is part of a series of artistic objects entitled Hands - an homage to textile craft traditions.

In the interactive installation we present here the hands call the spectators. Silent, they attract the noise of prints and the expression of gestures and composition.
Through the representation of hands we represent the city's residents, working, expressing themselves in the sometimes noisier silence. Hands speak through gestures, seek help, communicate, express themselves to others.
The interactive installation is web-based, and can be accessed via any mobile device (smartphone, iPhone, tablet, iPad, laptop...).

I invite the public to get to know the work, accessing it through the links (indicated below the images) or the qr codes. The goal is for the work to be interactive and collaborative, so I invite you to photograph these works, in augmented reality, in your spaces or with you, and send it to me at email selmapereira555@gmail.com. The photos will be shared in a later virtual exhibition, which will take place on this website.
"Hands" is a three-dimensional textile panel, which was born in the sequence of the installation "Between fabrics" presented in 2021, at the opening of the InVitro Exhibition Cycle, in Mértola, Portugal, and the art installation "Inside the Embroidery" exhibited at ARTECH 2021 International Conference.
Also in this series, the textile panel, Hands, exhibited at the collective exhibition Bodyspaces -CANVAS INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR 2023 in Venice, at Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello, between January 27th and February 20th, organized by ITSLIQUID GROUP. And that will be presented in August 2024. at The House of Smalls gallery in Edinburgh, Scotland.
